International youth-policy research and handbook
An international study into the challenges facing Christian youth work, using a mixed method of 15 expert in-depth interviews and a survey of more than 260 young people, 104 of them from abroad. The findings became a strategic proposal package, presented at the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference youth-ministry conference in 2020, alongside a practical methodological handbook for organisations working with young people.
Based on 15 expert in-depth interviews and 260+ surveyed young people (104 from abroad), we produced the strategic proposal package and the youth-ministry methodological handbook.
Project detail
Youth work based on Christian values (youth ministry) faces many challenges. In our international research project we explored the root causes of these problems using a mixed methodology: 15 expert in-depth interviews and the views of more than 260 young people (104 of them from abroad). The research resulted in a strategic proposal package for developing youth-ministry services, which we presented to decision-makers at the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference youth-ministry conference in 2020. Alongside the research, we produced the methodological handbook “Youth Ministry Methodological Handbook - For Organisations Working with Young People” , a good example of turning scientific research into a directly usable, practical toolkit.
